Riva presso Chieri (Turin, Italy): 9,5 MW photovoltaic park completed

“Banna” ground-based plant will produce economic and environmental benefits thanks to the generation of electric energy through renewable sources. On the 15th of July 2010 “Banna” photovoltaic solar plant has been connected to the national grid, and it is placed in Riva presso Chieri (Turin, Italy) site. This 26.2 hectares solar park is born by the partnership between Solesa, Solarhybrid, Intes and Envicons with an installed power of 9500 kWp. The quantity of energy that will be produced is the corresponding requirement of 3,200 families avoiding to put in the atmosphere 7,218 tons of CO2 per year and the consumption of 2,700 tons of oil. “Banna” solar park is made of 4 sections: 2 primary sections and 2 compensatory fields that have been realized on behalf of Riva presso Chieri town as an environmental compensation and they will be used to supply electric energy to private buildings, community properties and for the energy requirements of 150 families.

Solesa built its 7,8 MWp solar power plant in Poirino

Solesa has accomplished the construction and connection to the grid of its 7,8MWp photovoltaic solar park in Poirino, Piedmont (North West of Italy). The power plant rises on 21 hectares and has been particularly designed in compliance with landscape and environmental requirements, in order to reduce to minimum the impact on the surrounding territory. The solar park will produce the equivalent of the electrical consumption of 2.300 families, moreover 5.400 kg of CO2 in terms of emissions will be avoided each year corresponding to 2.000 tons of equivalent oil, the energy produced will be 100% green and without any impact for the environment.
